Cross Country News

Centre College senior Jason Parks (Louisville, Ky.) competed in the 2009 NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships and placed 86th Saturday, Nov. 21 in Cleveland, Ohio.

Parks ran a time of 26:38 to finish 86th overall and was the second Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) runner to finish behind Colorado College's Jackson Brainerd, who placed 18th overall.

Lynchburg College's Ricky Flynn, who also won the South/Southeast Regional in which Parks and the rest of the Centre team competed in prior to the NCAA Champion sips, was the overall first place finisher. Flynn finished the race in 25:09, 23 seconds ahead of the second place finisher.

This year's Championships were hosted by Baldwin-Wallace College.
