SCAC tabs Parks for Runner of the Week
Following the opening weekend of competition, Centre College senior men's cross country runner Jason Parks (Louisville, Ky.) has been selected as the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Men's Cross Country Runner-of-the-Week for meets run through Saturday, Sept. 5.
Parks opened up the season in a strong way this past weekend at the Sewanee-University of the South Cross Country Invitational in Sewanee, Tenn.
The senior toured the challenging 8K course in 27:03 finishing 12th place out of 123 men. He was the first finisher of all SCAC competitors.
Parks was also selected as the SCAC's Runner-of-the-Week following the Centre Invitational in week three of last year.
Centre will next host the Centre College Invitational Saturday, Sept. 12 in Danville, Ky.
