Field hockey team celebrates end-of-season banquet.

On December 1, 2007, the Centre College Field Hockey program held its annual end of season banquet at the home of Peter and Ann Ronald of Louisville, Kentucky. The Ronald's are the parents of senior Mollie Ronald , a four-year letter winner and captain of the 2007 squad. The banquet featured a dinner, presentation of individual and team awards, and a keynote address given by Mrs. Kitty Rogers Baird. Mrs. Baird founded the field hockey program at Centre College in the fall of 1960, making it the second oldest women's sport at Centre by a few months. (Mrs. Baird began the women's basketball program at Centre in the spring of 1960.)

A new award was named in honor of Mrs. Baird at the banquet as well. The Kitty R. Baird Award is now the highest honor awarded by the Centre College Field Hockey Program. The Kitty R. Baird is given each year to a four-year member of the program who exhibits the highest levels of integrity, leadership, and devotion to the success of the team.

Sixty-three players, parents, family, and friends attended the event with the following awards and recognitions:
