After the most successful season in Centre field hockey history, the Colonels were not content to only win on the field. By translating their on field success to the classroom, the Colonels were named a member of the 2007 ZAG/NFHCA Division III National Academic Team Award, an award only given to teams with an average GPA of 3.0 or higher.

The Colonels also had five individuals named to the 2007 ZAG/NFHCA Division III National Academic Squad. Senior Whitney Weigel (Louisville, Ky.), juniors Emily Boyle (Louisville, Ky.) and Sarah Scheer (Louisville, Ky.), along with sophomore Victoria Richardson (Webster, N.Y.) and freshman Brittany Coppola (Louisville, Ky.) were all honored with this award by earning at least a 3.3 cumulative GPA.
