The Colonels got back into the win column with a 3-1 victory over Hendrix College on Sunday, Sept. 27 in Conway, Ark. Centre holds a conference record of 3-1 after the win over Hendrix and an overall record of 5-1.

Centre was first to score when freshman Jessica McLean (St. Louis, Mo.) put back a rebound from four yards out after 22:51 of play. McLean's goal was the only one of the first half and Centre out shot the Warriors six to two in the first half.

The Colonels found the back of the cage early in the second half when freshman Anna Fuller (Cincinnati, Ohio) scored from eight yards out off an assist from senior Rachel Watkins (Chicago, Ill.).

Senior Mary Kate Clodius (St. Louis, Mo.) scored Centre's third and final goal off a break away 5:43 into the second half. Freshman Barbara Parks (Chapel Hill, N.C.) recorded the assist on Clodius's goal.

The Warriors attempted to make a comeback with a goal by Abby Coleman in the 58th minute off a penalty corner from Taylor LaFortune.

Hendrix out shot the Colonels 16-14 in the game and each team recorded nine penalty corners.

Sophomore Patty Cowley (Louisville, Ky.) had nine saves in the match with eight of them coming in the second half.
