Andy Frye is in his ninth year at the helm of Centre football. He served as an Associate Head Coach and Defensive Coordinator at Centre prior to being named Head Coach in 1998. Frye’s overall record is 52-38 and captured his first conference title as a head coach in 2003.
Frye came to Centre in 1989 from Muskingum College. While at Muskingum he served as the Defensive Coordinator and Head Wrestling coach. He was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Coach of the Year in 1987. Frye also coached football for two years at Ohio University and Defiance College. Frye’s goal is to continue building Centre football to national prominence. Frye states,
“I want our program to reflect those values and virtues necessary in sustaining a successful program.” |

Tony White enters his first season with the Colonels. White comes to Centre with over a decade of college and high school coaching experience. He was most recently the quarterbacks and special teams coach at NAIA Belhaven College in Jackson, Miss. While coaching at Belhaven, White's team finished the 2007 season ranked second in the nation in pass offense (343.4 ypg) and eighth in first downs per game (23.5).
Prior to his stint at Belhaven, White was the special teams and running backs coach at Brownsboro High School in Brownsboro, Texas from 2004-05. The team was a bi-district qualifier in AAA State Playoffs and lost 14-13 to the eventual State Champions.
Other schools White has coached at include; Southeast Missouri State University (200-04), Southwest Baptist University (1998-99), Louisiana Tech University (1997-98) and Texas State University (1994-97). While a student at Texas A&M University-Commerce, White earned his varsity letter as a quarterback. |

Todd Frakes is a 1999 graduate of Centre College and a product of Indian Hill High School in Cincinnati, Ohio. Frakes came to Centre after coaching for 2 years at his high school alma mater, Indian Hill. While coaching at Indian Hill, Coach Frakes completed his master's degree in economics at the University of Cincinnati.
As a player at Centre, Frakes was a team captain and an all-conference safety for the Colonels. Over the past four years while coaching at Centre, Frakes has worked with 10 all-conference defensive backs. Frakes is also an assistant coach on Centre's men's and women's track team. He works with the 100, 200, and 400-meter sprinters.

Greg Hardy is in his third year on the Centre staff. He graduated from Wheaton (IL) College where he majored in history. At Wheaton , he served as a student assistant coach, helping with the offensive line. Hardy is also the throws coach for Centre's men's and women's track and field team. He resides in Danville with his wife, Abigail.

After retiring from Boyle Co. High School as Principal in 2000, Coach Brown joined the Centre staff. He brings 15 years of high school coaching experience plus one year on the staff at Campbellsville University to his position as receivers coach.
Coach Brown has coached an All-SCAC receiver each of his three years at Centre College, 2000 – Joe Guthrie, 2001 – Jeremy Gomez, and 2002 Bryan Walker. Coach Brown’s son, Neal, was a three time All-State in football at Boyle Co. High School. He also played at the University of Kentucky, UMass, and the Lexington Horsemen of the NIFL.
“ I am very excited to coach at Centre College. The atmosphere for football is excellent. Everyone connected to the program has the desire to win a national championship.” Coach Brown has been married for 27 years to his wife, Peggy. He has two children, Neal (23) and Beth (15).

David Cress begins his first year with Centre after volunteering in 2004 and 2005. Cress, a Danville native, graduated from Danville High School in 1978, then went on to play football at Centre. In 1980 he was an all-conference linebacker for the Colonels. Cress went on to earn a degree in occupational therapy from Eastern Kentucky University and graduated from there in 1996.

A Danville native and a Centre football assistant since 1992, Robertson graduated from Danville High School in 1967 before attending Florida State University. Robertson played center for the Seminoles and graduated with a bachelor's degree in 1972. He also has a degree in veterinary science from the University of Florida.

A 2002 graduate, Carter Conley returns to his alma mater to coach the linebackers for his fifth season after playing professionally in Europe. A former all-conference linebacker and four-year letterman at Centre, Conley earned his B.A. in Philosophy. He was captain of the 2001 team that finished with an impressive 9-1 record and is the older brother of former Centre fullback Joe Conley (`05).
