After beating Rhodes College, 37-10, on Senior Day and Homecoming weekend sophomore running back Jonathan Pinque (Athens, Ala.) and junior linebacker Will Geisen (Edgewood, Ky.) were named SCAC Football Players-of-the-Week for games played Saturday, Oct. 31.

Pinque was selected as the SCAC Football Offensive Player-of-the-Week. In the game against Rhodes Pinque ran for 179 yards on 23 carries and scored two touchdowns.

Pinque has run for 100 or more yards in four games this season. The 179 yards rushed by Pinque was his second highest single-game total of his career. He also moved into a tie for second place on Centre's career rushing touchdown list with 21.

Geisen received the SCAC Football Co-Defensive Player-of-the-Week for games played Saturday, Oct. 31.

Geisen tallied two tackles, broke up a pass and blocked two punts in the win over Rhodes. In the first quarter Geisen recorded a fumble and returned it 58 yards for a touchdown.

Centre improved to 7-1 on the season with the win over Rhodes and is 4-1 in the SCAC.

The Colonels travel to San Antonio, Tex. to play in their last regular season game of the year against Trinity University on Saturday, Nov. 7. Game time is set for 2:30 p.m.
