Men's golf finishes third at Piedmont
DEMOREST, GA - The men's golf team participated in the Piedmont College Spring Invitational, finishing third out of 12 teams.
Centre finished with a two day total of 620, just 15 strokes behind the overall team champions, ABAC. Leading the way for the Colonels were sophomore Tyler Griffith (Marengo, IN) and junior Rus Whalen (Georgetown, KY) who both finished as part of a four way tie for ninth overall with a two day total of 153. Finishing just one stroke behind Whalen and Griffith was freshman Tyler Current (Louisville, KY) who had a two day total of 154.
Head Coach Brian Chafin added,
" Our men made huge improvements in the second day to move up four places to third. The score of 303 is close to where we need to be to contend in all our tournaments.
