Men's golf team places second at Transylvania University Fall Invite
The Centre College men's golf team competed at the Transylvania University Invitational Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 6-7 and placed second overall out of eight schools at the UK Golf Club.
The Colonels shot +29 over the two day event with overall team score of 297 and 300. Bellarmine, a NCAA Division II team, was the lone team to shoot lower than the Colonels in the opening weekend of fall golf.
Sophomore Chris Morris (Maysville, KY) of Centre took home the individual title by shooting a combined 139 (68, 71, -3) over the two days. Following close on his heels was junior Chris Conkright (Owensboro, KY) who finished seventh with a two day score of
148 (75, 73, +6).
Centre will continue its fall season Thursday, Sept. 11 in the Jim English Invite hosted by Centre College at the Danville Country Club.
