Centre women defeat Rhodes in dual match
The Centre College women's golf team defeated Rhodes College in a dual match, Saturday, Sept. 16 at the Quail Ridge Golf Course in Bartlett, Tenn. The Colonels shot a team score of 376 to Rhodes' 396.
Freshman Katie McKenna (Mt. Sterling, Ky.) was the top finisher for Centre shooting a 91 on the par 72 course, good enough for second place. Junior Melanie Goff (Bowling Green, Ky.) was third with a 92. Sophomore Jenny Jackson (Truckee, Calif.) tied for fourth place with a 97.
Freshman Marissa Cianchetti (St. Charles, Ill.) was sixth shooting a 98, and freshman Sarah Fisher (Vine Grove, Ky.) placed seventh with a 104. Rhodes' Rachel Stuart was the individual winner shooting an 85 on the day.
