Women's golf team is 4th in Golfstat Freshman Class Impact Ranking
The Centre women's golf team is 4th on the Golfstat Top 25 Freshman Class Impact Ranking. Three freshman are playing in the top five for the Colonels.

During the Old Bridge Fall Invite in Danville, Ky. on Saturday, Oct. 3 Miller had her best finish of the season where she tied for 5th and was part of the All-Tournament Team.
Lauren Mashburn (Madisonville, Ky.) is ranked 44th in the region and has an average score of 86.75 in five tournaments. Mashburn's best finish of the fall season has also been at the Old Bridge Fall Invitational, where she was a medallist for tying for first place. Mashburn was also a part of the All-Tournament Team.
Bridget Winstead (Franklin, Tenn.) has averaged a 91.00 for the five fall tournaments the Colonels have competed in and is ranked 80th in the region. Winstead finished tied for 15th at the Old Bridge Fall Invite, which has been her best outing for the fall season.
"This is a nice honor for our freshman class. We have four young players, that if they work hard with swing coach Bruce Brown, can become very good D-III players. This is encouraging since we have been without two of our best players for the fall, Emily Bachert (stress fracture) and Paige Burton (semester in residency at American University), but with our senior leadership and hard work they have pulled together very well," Centre coordinator of golf Brian Chafin said.
The Centre women's golf team finishes their fall schedule at the Rhodes Fall Classic on Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 19-20 at Tunica National Golf Course in Tunica, Miss. |
