Centre women place second at Hanover Fall Invite
The Centre women's golf team placed second at the Hanover College Fall Invite, which took place at the Spring Hills, Sunrise Golf Course in Madison, Ind. The Invitational took place on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 12 and 13.
Centre finished the Invitational with an overall score of 665. Marian University won the Invitational with an overall score of 635.
Senior Marissa Cianchetti (St. Charles, Ill.) led the Colonels with a score of 163, which was good enough for a sixth place tie.
Freshman Lauren Mashburn (Madisonville, Ky.) came in second for the Colonels and tied for 10 with a 166. Freshman Whitney Miller (Lexington, KY.) finished in 15 with a 171 and freshman Bridget Winstead (Franklin, Tenn.) came in with a 179 tied for 21. Freshman Megan Sims (Georgetown, Ky.) was the fifth Colonel to finish and came in tied for 24 with a 181.
Angela Gauck from Marian University won the Invitational with an overall score of 149.
Centre's next match is at DePauw University on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 26-27. The women will play at Deer Creek Golf Club in Clayton, Ind. |
