Pilates is a method of body conditioning that was developed over ninety years ago by Joseph Pilates. The mind and body are trained to work together. Muscle control, breathing, flexibility, coordination, strength and pelvic stabilization are emphasized. Quality of movement is more important than quantity of movement since the muscles work precisely and efficiently.
Pilate movements can carry over to everyday activities like walking, running, and lifting.
