Jeb Burch (74-25-9) is entering his seventh season as the Head Coach of the Colonels. His teams have won 11 or more games each season he has served as head coach. Currently, the Colonels have not experienced a losing season in 19 years, which ranks them 12th nationally in consecutive winning seasons. Based upon winning percentage, Burch is ranked 21 nationally among active division III coaches.
Two of Burch's teams have set impressive goal scoring marks within the NCAA. His Colonels set the NCAA Division I, II, and III record for fastest back to back goals scored by the same team (5 seconds) and hit the 6th fastest consecutive goals scored by opposing teams. The Colonels reflect Coach Burch's conviction to go forward. This is matched with a team defense that is the water mark of the SCAC. The Colonels led the SCAC in team defense in 2005 and were 2nd in 2006 and 2007. Burch led the program to its first ever national top ten ranking in 2002 and his Colonels have been nationally ranked 4 of the past 6 seasons he has been at the helm.
Burch has served as Kentucky 's Head Goalkeeper Coach for boys and girls with the Olympic Development Program as well as the U-15 Boy's State team coach. He is the founder of the Keeper Edge Soccer Program, which has trained 1000's of goalkeepers over the past 13 years. Burch has been instrumental in working with Kentucky 's youth soccer players, enjoying state and regional success at the club level. His camps, Player Development Programs, are very popular across the state.
Burch holds the NSCAA Advanced National Diploma and the USSF “B” license along with a Dutch Level 1 & 2 Badge. He has been an active member of the NSCAA over the past 12 years and currently serves on the Central Region ranking committee. He has also served as a Project 2010 Evaluator.
Burch has spent time with some impressive people during his past 12 years of coaching. Frans Hoek, FIFA's World Clincian of Goalkeeping and the Dutch National Team, brought Burch on board for his 3 week seminars in Sonoma , California . Burch was fortunate to meet Tony DiCicco , formerly of our Women's National Team, early in his goalkeeping career and subsequently began to work during the summers as part of the Soccer Plus Goalkeeping Schools. Burch joined the Arsenal FC staff in London , England during the week leading up to their UEFA Champions League clash with cross town rival Chelsea and eventual EPL fixture with Manchester United at Highbury. The Colonel's place a premium on technical training due mostly to the time spent at the Arsenal Training Grounds.
Burch resides in Danville , Ky. He enjoys live music, travel, and playing golf.
