David Horne earns Academic All-America honors
Senior defender David Horne from Louisville, Ky., has been selected the National Soccer Coaches Association of America/Adidas Senior College Men's Scholar All-America Soccer Team.
Horne, a captain and first team All-Region selection this year along with a first team All-Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) selection earned this prestigious academic award for the first time.
Horne was one of only 33 plaerys in all three NCAA divisions to earn this honor. There are a multitude factors that go in to the selection process but the minimum criteria include; maintaining at least a 3.3 grade point average and starting in more than 50 percent of the teams games. He will receive his award at the All-America Luncheon held at the Marriott Hotel in Indianapolis , IN.
