The Centre College men's soccer team has placed three players on the 2006 National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA)/Adidas NCAA Division III Men's All-South Central Region Team.
Senior defender David Horne (Louisville, Ky.) was named to the All-Region first team and for the second straight year junior forward Nick Judah (Louisville, Ky.) was named to the All-Region second team, while sophomore midfielder Adam Boyer (Louisville, KY) was selected to the third team.
Horne, a first team All-Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) selection for the second straight year, continued to be one of the top defenders in the region. Horne was second on the team in goals scored with six and added four assists for 16 total points. The senior was named the SCAC Defensive Player-of-the-Week once this season and was also selected to the Kiwanis Classic All-Tournament Team. Horne was also a second team All-Region selection as a junior.
Judah, a second team all-SCAC selection for the second straight year, led Centre and tied for fifth in the league with 11 goals, while adding an assist for a team-leading 23 points. The junior forward also ranked fifth in the SCAC in goals per game (0.69), sixth in points per game (1.44) and 10th in total points (23). This is Judah's second straight year being named to the All-Region second team.
Boyer earns his first post season honors by being named to the All-Region third team. Boyer earns this honor after helping the Colonels continue their defensive dominance in the SCAC. For the second straight year The Colonels have lead the conference on the defensive end of the field. This year their goals allowed average of .82 was good for first in the conference while their goals against average of .88 was good for second in the SCAC.
Centre finished the 2006 season with a 12-4-1 overall record and a 6-3-0 league mark. The Colonels finished third in the SCAC.
