Horne named to assist men's soccer program
Head coach Jeb Burch announced today, March 8, the hiring of former Centre College standout, David Horne, as the new men's assistant soccer coach. Horne will replace long time assistant coach Mark Hudson who was recently hired as the new head men's soccer coach at Austin College located in Sherman, Texas.
While playing at Centre David Horne (Louisville, KY) was twice named to the NSCAA Academic All-American team, was a two time NSCAA Regional All-American, and a two time runner up for the SCAC defender of the year. Horne was also named to the All-SCAC team three times and was a two year captain for the Colonels.
"I am excited to continue my relationship with this program. I am confident in my ability to help lead this team to another conference championship and back to the NCAA tournament," said Horne.
Head Coach Jeb Burch had this to say, "David understands the standards and expectations I have for this program. He will serve as a good example for our players and recruits. I am excited to have David's insight to the team. This fall season is setting up to be another big year for us and David will play an important role in pacing this team to November." |
