Centre's Ohin chosen for SCAC men's soccer honor
Centre College senior Ed Ohin (Louisville, Ky.) has been selected as the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Men's Soccer Defensive Player-of-the-Week for matches played Monday, Oct. 29 through Sunday,  Nov. 4.
Ohin anchored the Colonel defense to a 1-0 shutout win over DePauw on the road over the weekend. In perhaps the best performance of his career, Ohin anticipated DePauw’s offense and consistently thwarted their attack. He led the defense that allowed just two shots on goal and one corner kick.
The senior stopper has tallied one goal for two total points and helped lead Centre to eight shutouts in his final year.
The Colonels ended the season with 14-4 overall record and 6-3 mark in the SCAC. The 14 wins this season mark the most by a Centre men's soccer team since the 2000 season, in which the Colonels won 15 matches.
