Hinton named to the D3Futbol.com Team of the Week
Centre College senior Richard Hinton (Fort Wayne, Ind.) was named to the D3Futbol.com Team of the Week for his outstanding performance during the week of Sept. 7-14. Hinton is the first Centre men's soccer player to be nominated for the honor this year.
Centre played in three matches during the week of Sept. 7-14. In the first match of the week against St. Joseph, a 2-0 win for Centre, Hinton recorded an assist on the first goal and scored the second goal.
The Colonels second game of the week and the first in the Bob Allen Classic was against Wilmington College. Hinton scored the first of six goals for the Colonels and Centre won the game 6-1.
Centre hosted Berry College in the third match of the week and the second in the Bob Allen Classic. The Colonels won the match 5-4 in overtime and Hinton recorded a goal and an assist.
Hinton was also named the SCAC Offensive Player of the Week for the week of Sept. 7-14.
Next up for the Colonels is a match against the University of Chicago in Chicago, Ill at 5:00 p.m. CST on Friday, Sept. 18th. |
