Arndt is named SCAC Co-Defensive Player-of-the-Week
Senior goalkeeper Aaron Arndt (Madisonville, Ky.) has been named as the Co-Defensive Player-of-the-Week for men's soccer for matches played from Monday, Oct. 26 through Sunday, Nov. 1.
Centre hosted conference rival Birmingham-Southern College on Friday, Oct. 30. Arndt helped lead the Colonels to a shut-out victory with four saves on the evening as Centre would win the match 2-0.
On Sunday, Nov. 1 the Colonels faced SCAC opponent Millsaps College in Centre's final regular season home match. Arndt again shut-out the opponent as he would manage the defense in allowing Millsaps to only get five shots in the game. Centre would win the game 2-0 to improve to 13-4-2 on the season and 7-2-1 in the SCAC.
Arndt has recorded three straight shut-outs and on the season has a goals against average of 1.00, while making 49 saves in the process.
Centre will conclude their regular season play on Saturday, Nov. 7 as they take on DePauw University in Greencastle, Ind. Kick-off is set for 5:30 p.m. |
