Allison Terry selected to All-Region team

Centre College sophomore women's soccer player Allison Terry (Lexington, Ky.) has been selected to the 2006 National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA)/Adidas NCAA Division III Women's All-Great Lakes Region Third Team for her efforts during the 2006 season.
Terry, a first team All Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) selection in 2006, and a second team All-SCAC selection in 2005, tied for second on the team in goals scored with seven and assists with five, for a total of 19 points. The sophomore forward has started all 35 matches of her career and is only the second Centre player to be a first team All-SCAC selection in the last five years.
Head Coach Jay Hoffman had this to say, "Allison Terry quickly made a name for herself during conference play. I was very impressed with her ability to run at defenders and make 'magic' happen. I know this is an award that will help continue to build confidence in her play and keep her motivated to train throughout the year. I am so proud of Allison and her efforts on the field. I think this award is a reflection of everyone's hard work."
Centre ended the year 14-5 overall and 6-3 in league play; good for third place in the conference. |
