Women's Soccer News

The Colonels played at a high level from start to finish putting together a dominating win. The Colonels amassed an amazing 21 shots with nine of them being on goal. What makes the Colonels offensive play that much more impressive was that they limited the University of Dallas to only 2 shots on the day. The Colonel offense also had 8 corner kicks compared to Dallas' 0. It was truly a dominating performance for the women's soccer team on both sides of the ball. It was the most goals scored in one game by the Colonels all year long and the third shut-out.

During the game the following Colonels scored a goal: senior Casey Yeakel (Prospect, Ky.), senior Allison Terry (Lexington, Ky.), sophomore Brittany Garr (Louisville, Ky.) and senior Erin Menard (LaGrange, Ky.). Terry continued her hot play of late scoring two goals during the game. Terry now has five goals on the year. Menard scored her team leading seventh goal of the season. Sophomore Garr not to be outdone by the team's goal scoring seniors added her fifth goal of the season and also recorded an assist on Menard's goal. Garr was assisted on her goal by senior Tamaryn Tuller (Prospect, Ky.).

Goalkeepers Rosie McAuley (Fairborn, Ohio) and Kelli Lenz (Louisville, Ky.) tag-teamed in goal during the game recording the shut-out victory.

The Colonels return to action Saturday, Oct. 25, against SCAC rival DePauw. It will serve as the first game in the men's/women's double header with a start time scheduled for 5:30 pm.
