Menard named SCAC Co-Offensive Player of the Week
Centre College senior women's soccer player Erin Menard (LaGrange, Ky.) has been named one of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Women's Soccer Co-Offensive Players of the Week for matches played Monday, Sept. 15 through Sunday, Sept. 21.
Menard scored the first two goals, her third and fourth of the season, in the Colonels 3-1 conference-opening win over Oglethorpe. Two days later she scored the first goal again, this time in a 2-1 win over Sewanee-University of the South.
The senior now has five goals on the season and needs just four more to break into the SCAC's top five career scorers list.
Menard is the second Centre women's soccer player to be honored by the league in as many weeks. Senior Nicole Wendschlag (Lexington, Ky.) was named of the SCAC Co-Defensive Players of the Week following action from week three.
Centre is set to be back in action Saturday, Sept. 27 when it travels to Columbus, Ohio to play Capital University. The non-conference match is set to start at 3 p.m. at the Columbus Crew Training Facility.
