Centre College senior Rosie McAuley (Fairborn, Ohio) was named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District Soccer Team for her effort in the classroom and on the soccer field.

McAuley was selected to the District 4 College Division Second Team by the College of Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) for the 2009 fall season.

A Spanish major with a minor in Education at Centre, McAuley has posted a 3.7 GPA. The senior goalkeeper started in 13 games this season, but was forced to sit out the remaining seven games due to a season ending injury. In the 13 games that McAuley played she helped the Colonels to an 8-3-2 record and only allowed six goals, while recording 28 saves.

During the 2008 season, the Colonels made it to the first round of the NCAA Division III Women's Soccer Tournament. McAuley started all 19 games during the 12-6-1 season.

McAuley has been a member of the Dean's List every semester since the fall of 2006, as well as an All-SCAC Academic Athlete since the fall of 2006. She is a member of Omicron Delta Kappa Honor Society, the Spanish Honor Society, and the Society of Future Educators.

In 2007, McAuley received the Coach's Award, the Players Choice Award, was named to the second team in the Great Lakes Region, and was third team All-Conference for the SCAC.

Centre will play their last regular season game on Saturday, Nov. 7 against DePauw University in Greencastle, Ind. The game is set to start at 7:30 p.m.
