Rhule earns SCAC weekly honor
Centre College sophomore first baseman/catcher Rebecca Rhule (Versailles, Ky.) has been selected the SCAC Softball Offensive Player-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, March 5, through Sunday, March 11.
Rhule hit .563 (9-16) in helping Centre go 5-1 on the week. The sophomore also drove in seven runs, scored three more and posted a .688 slugging percentage and .563 on-base percentage, while not making an error in 41 chances.
Rhule posted two hits in four different games this week and drove in two or more runs in three different games, including a three-RBI effort in the Colonels’ 7-6 win over Defiance. She was also 2-for-4 and had the game-winning RBI in Centre’s 5-4 win over Defiance.
Rhule is now hitting .529 on the year (9-17) with a .647 slugging percentage and a .529 on-base percentage in nine games.
Centre, now 7-2 on the season, will return to action, Tuesday, March 12, to host Thomas More College. The non-conference doubleheader is set to begin at 5 p.m. at Millennium Park in Danville, Ky. |
