Colonel Softball Drops Two to DePauw
Facing the DePauw Tigers, ranked third in the nation, the Colonels fell in both games of a doubleheader 6-2 and 10-1 on Saturday.
In the first game the Tigers knocked in 6 runs off of ten hits, while the Colonels were held to three hits for the contest. The hits were productive though, with the Colonels driving in two runs.
The second match of the doubleheader turned out much of the same. The Tigers drove in ten runs off of thirteen hits in a dominating offensive performance. Meanwhile, the Colonels struggled offensively scoring only one run off two hits.
The loses drop Centre to 12-14 overall with an 0-6 record in SCAC conference play. While DePauw moves to 27-1 on the season and 2-0 in SCAC action.
