Sarah Holman joins the Centre swim team in her first year as assistant coach. Holman is a 2002 graduate of Centre College with a degree in Psychology. During her time at Centre, Holman participated in swimming, cross country, and track and field. She was awarded most valuable runner and was captain of the cross country team her senior year.
In the fall of 1999, Holman took over as head coach of the Wilderness Trace YMCA Stingrays swim team in Danville. In her six years with the Stingrays, she has built the program to more than four times its original membership.
Coach Holman also spent two summers working as a counselor at Wolverine Swim Camp at the University of Michigan. During this time she worked with the University of Michigan staff in coaching swimmers from all over the United States. In the summer of 2004, Coach Holman helped Centre head coach Dean Brownley develop and run the first Colonel Swim Camp.
