Angel finishes 18 in the 50 yard freestyle at Nationals
Sophomore swimmer Meredith Angel placed 18 in the women's 50 yard freestyle event at the 2008 NCAA Division III Women's Swimming and Diving Championships.
 Angel competed in the 50 Free, 100 Free, and the 100 Breast stroke events at the championships with a personal best finish in the 50 Free event of 18 in the nation. Her prelim time of 24.02 seconds was only .09 seconds off her own school record time of 23.93.
In the finals Angel turned in a time of 24.39 seconds to finish less than one second off the national championship time of
23.40; which was swam by
Ruth Westby, a sophomore from Emory University in Atlanta, GA.
