Gregor named SCAC Women's Swimmer-of-the-Week
Centre freshman Sandra Gregor (Itasca, Ill.) was selected as the first SCAC Women's Swimmer-of-the-Week for all swim meets that took place through Sunday, Oct. 25.
In Centre's second meet of the season in Indianapolis, Ind. on Friday, Oct. 23 against Butler and IUPUI, Gregor won the women's 1000 yard freestyle with a time of 11:06. Gregor also took first in the 500 yard freestyle completing the race in 5:27. Centre would beat both IUPUI and Butler in the meet.
Centre then hosted Berea and Bellarmine in the Colonels first home meet of the season on Saturday, Oct. 24. Gregor would be a benefit to the Colonels as she would finish second in the women's 200 yard freestyle finishing the event in 2:06. The Colonels would beat Berea and Bellarmine.
The Centre women's swim team has won all three of their meets this season.
Centre swimming and diving will next compete on Friday, Oct. 30 against Asbury College at 6:00 p.m. The meet will take place in Danville, Ky. at Boles Natatorium.
