Men's tennis wins first match of 2009 against Bluefield College
In their second match played on Saturday, February 21 the Colonels were able to pick up their first team win of 2009 by defeating Bluefield College 5-4 in Charleston, VA. This was accomplished in large part by winning two of the three doubles matches after Brenton Deal and Kurt Hage pulled out a tie-breaker to win at the number two doubles spot. Bryce Meredith and Peter Zurkuhlen's win at number 3 gave the Colonels a 2-1 lead after the doubles. Singles wins by Bryce Meredith, Micah Roberts, and Kurt Hage at the four, five, and six spots sealed the win for Centre.
