Lady Colonels Fall to Rose-Hulman 8-1
The Centre College women's tennis team dropped their first match of the year, losing 8-1 to Rose-Hulman this past Saturday March 10 in New Albany , IN. In doubles play, Centre lost at the #1 and #3 spots while the sophomore team of Katy Justiss/Sarah Saneii defeated Grantz/Lee 8-5 at the #2 position. The win marked Saneii's first collegiate victory.
In singles play, the Lady Colonels lost all six matches to suffer their first loss of the season. At the #3 position, Justiss narrowly lost her first set before dropping the match to Grantz, 7-5, 6-3.
Centre, now 1-1, next face Bellarmine University on Tuesday, March 13 in Danville , KY for their first home match beginning at 4:00 p.m.
