Centre teams hit personal best under the lights.
RICHMOND , Ky. —The men's and women's team competed under the lights on Friday, April 18, 2008 at the Eastern Kentucky Track and Field Open. The meet did not have team scoring, which provided Centre's teams with the opportunity to focus on individual races. More

ADA, Oh - Jones jumped 7.08 meters (23'-2 3/4" feet)
on Friday, March 14 to finish fourth in the long jump. The jump earned him a place on the awards stand and All-American status. Jones was also supposed to compete in the triple jump, where he was favored to win, however, an injury sustained during the long jump event kept him from competing. Complete Results
Freshman jumper qualifies for Indoor Nationals
Chrys Jones has qualified to compete in the triple and long jumps at the NCAA Division III Indoor Track National Championships. The meet will be held on the campus of Ohio Northern University located in Ada, OH on March 14-15. More

Men finish seventh with skeleton crew at DePauw Indoor meet
Several Centre College indoor records were broken during the meet in both running and field events. Chrys Jones set new school records in the long jump (22'10) and high jump (6'4"). In the running events Jason Parks set a new school record in the 800 meters (2:02.25) while the men's 4x200 meter relay, consisting of Ned McCaster, Mike Morrison, Nick Edwards, and Aaron Hay, also set a new indoor school record (1:36.17). Strong performance for small crew at Rose-Hulman Indoor
In his first collegiate meet ever, freshman Chrys Jones, Harrodsburg, KY., won the men's long jump with a mark of 22'3 1/2" and the men's triple jump with a leap of 48'7 1/4". The mark automatically qualifies him for the 2008 NCAA Indoor Championships. More
