Despite storm delay, Centre Track Teams fair well at Rhodes Invitational
MEMPHIS , Tenn. — Despite strong storms that caused major delays and stiff competition the men's team finished eighth, while the women's team finished tenth this past weekend at the Rhodes Invitational.
The 4x100m team (Brian Hodge, Mike Morrison, Nick Judah, Aaron Hay) ran a season best (43.59) on their way to a solid fourth place finish. Jason Parks finished fourth in a tight 1500m (4:07.25). On the field, the javelin saw three Centre athletes in the top eight. Charles Mercy through a season best on his way to a third place (153'06”), while Zack Upton finished seventh (139'04”) and Alex Zimmerman placed eight (137'04”). Abby Jurewicz was the top placing female as she finished fifth in the triple jump with a season best (32'05”).
The Centre Track & Field teams will compete in at the DePauw Invitational in Greencastle, IN the weekend of April 5, 2008 .
