Strong performance for small crew at Rose-Hulman Indoor
In his first collegiate meet ever, freshman Chrys Jones, Harrodsburg, KY., won the men's long jump with a mark of 22'3 1/2" and the men's triple jump with a leap of 48'7 1/4". The mark automatically qualifies him for the 2008 NCAA Indoor Championships.
Also performing well early for the Colonels was senior Clyde Madison, Lexington, KY., who finished sixth in the long jump with a personal best 20'3". In the running events sophomore Jason Parks, Louisville, KY., finished in third place in the men's mile with an amazing early season time of 4:30.03.
