The Centre College Colonels are excited to invite you to our third annual High School Team Camp to be held June 17-20. The camp will take place on Centre's beautiful campus in the impressive new $25 million Sutcliffe Athletic Center . All games are played on campus in Sutcliffe Hall on five, separate, air-conditioned courts. A special consideration is that once you arrive on campus you may park your van/bus for the duration of the camp; all dorms are within walking distance of the camp site.

Below is a list of frequently asked questions pertaining to the camp:

What is the coaches' compensation? Varsity coaches will receive $300, JV coaches will receive $200, and freshmen coaches will receive $150 for coaching and monitoring their team while at camp. (Minimum 8 players each team)

What is the format for the camp? The format will be play intensive and will provide your team with a maximum number of games possible. Teams will be split up by division (Varsity, JV, and Freshman) and by ability within divisions. Each team will play 3-4 matches a day and a camp champion at each division will be crowned on the last day.

What type of sleeping accommodations will there be? Campers will stay primarily in campus housing; all dorms are air conditioned.

Where will campers and coaches eat their meals? Meals will be held in the campus cafeteria with food provided by Sodexho.

What is the cost for the campers? Each camper will be charged $230.00. This cost will cover all fees including room and board (there is a reduced rate of $175.00 for commuters)

What other details should I consider? There will be a $225 non refundable deposit for each team. A certified trainer will be on duty at all times. All coaches and staff will have access to our new 7,000 square foot weight room featuring free weights and cardio equipment.

We would be thrilled to have your team(s) attend our camp this summer. If you would like any more information please feel free to contact me by email or phone.

For more information please contact Head Coach James Neyhouse at: james.neyhouse@centre.edu or call the volleyball office at: 859-238-5475

The Director
Neyhouse began his coaching career as a student assistant coach at Wilmington College. He was also an assistant coach at Saint Leo University, an NCAA Division II school, before being named the head coach at Thomas More College in 1998. While at Thomas More, Neyhouse led the Saints to a top five regional ranking twice, including an appearance in the NCAA Division III National Volleyball Tournament in 1999. In 2000, he was named an assistant coach at NCAA Division I member, Bowling Green State University. In his only year at Bowling Green, the Falcons won the Mid-American Conference (MAC) East Division Championship. The following year, Neyhouse returned to Wilmington to be the head volleyball coach and assistant track coach. In 2004, he led the volleyball program to its best record in the past decade.

Neyhouse's coaching style incorporates his passion for the sport, enjoyment for developing young players, and a fun, informative atmosphere. He stresses imaginative play within different systems giving the players the knowledge and skills to manage the game themselves.

This camp provides training for young beginners and advanced players. We recruit professional and highly qualified instructors that understand how to teach the many facets of the game we love. From basic skills to more advanced system tactics, we cover it all here at the Centre College Volleyball Camp.

Staff
The lecture staff will include college, club and national and international level players and coaches. It is our goal to provide the highest level of instruction available by providing incredibly talented and experienced instructors from both the US and abroad.

Certified athletic trainers and support staff will be assigned to all courts and each player will have full access to our training room.
