Wright Field This field is home to the Colonels baseball team. Located behind the bleachers of Farris Stadium, the baseball infield is restricted to baseball use only. Night games are possible since lights were installed in 2005, courtesy of 1964 Centre alum Gary Wright, for whom the field is named. New dugouts, a brick backstop, and an arch entranceway have been added recently. In the summer of 2008, the entire playing field will be resurfaced and leveled, and a sprinkler system will be installed.
Left field is used for additional practice space for the football team in the fall, and right field is used for intramural football during the fall. The outfield may be used for recreation on a limited basis in the fall, but is limited to baseball use in the spring.
