Craik House

Date Built: ca 1850s, renovated in 1958

Named For: Henry Nelson Craik, Class of 1890

Current Use: residence of the College president

Originally a private residence, Centre bought the house in 1937. Robert L. McLeod, Centre's 14th president, was the first president to occupy the home. The two-story Italianate mansion with a Greek Revival facade and portico provides a beautiful, spacious place for the president and his wife to entertain. It is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
