MEDLINE indexes the international literature on biomedicine, including the allied health fields and the biological and physical sciences, humanities, and information science as they relate to medicine and health care.

The PubMed interface offers many advanced searching functions including the ability to combine search sets in different ways, a limits option, a filtering option called Clinical Queries, and the Cubby function which allows searches to be saved and rerun. PubMed contains more than just MEDLINE. The NLM offers several helpful factsheets on MEDLINE and PubMed.
