- The Electronic Text Center's holdings include approximately 51,000 humanities texts in twelve languages, with more than 350,000 related images (book illustrations, covers, manuscripts, newspaper pages, page images of Special Collections books, museum objects, etc.). Note: Many of the texts available only to UVa users.

- A digital library that includes full text access to +3 million volumes in the public domain.
- Kentuckiana Digital Library
- There are over 1,000 texts in the Kentuckiana Digital Library. These include transcripts of oral histories (interviews), personal narratives, journals, and books about Kentucky or by Kentucky authors.

- Includes a wide range of literary works of the American South published before 1924.

The collection is particularly strong in the subject areas of education, psychology, American history, sociology, religion, and science and technology. This site provides access to 267 monograph volumes and over 100,000 journal articles with 19th century imprints.

- Representative Poetry Online (University of Toronto)
- Anthology of 4,700 poems in English and French by over 700 poets spanning 1400 years.
- UC Press E-Books Collection
- From the University of California, UC Press E-Books Collection, 1982-2004, includes almost 2,000 books from academic presses on a range of topics, including art, science, history, music, religion, and fiction. While many of the titles are restricted to UC users, more than 500 of the titles are available to the public.

- Attempts to include every novel published in the United States from 1851 to 1875. It includes works by well known writers such as Louisa May Alcott, Mark Twain, Nathaniel Hawthorne, Herman Melville, and Harriet Beecher Stowe, along with a great many forgotten authors, whose works may have been very popular in their own time.
