The four story brick structure was built as a men's residence hall, and originally included space for 103 students, an apartment for the dean of men, and office space. A noted Kentucky architect, Hugh L. Nevin was a member of the Centre Board of Trustees from 1941 to 1958, and the architect of eight buildings on Centre's campus.
