    • In both online and print formats, the most comprehensive English language music encyclopedia, Grove's consists of articles by noted authorities, including complete lists of composers' works and extensive bibliographies. Step 1 of any music research project.

    • Contains the cataloged holdings of the Centre College Library.
  • Kentucky Virtual Library
    • Use KYVL to search other Kentucky libraries, including the University of Kentucky and University of Louisville.
  • Interlibrary Loan
    • Use the Interlibrary Loan service to borrow books and journal articles from other libraries.
  • Worldcat
    • WorldCat contains records for the holdings of several thousand libraries. This is an excellent starting point for identifying and locating material beyond the Centre College library.

    • In both online and print formats, RILM is a comprehensive international guide to scholarly writings about music. Coverage includes journal articles, books, bibliographies, catalogues, dissertations, Festschriften, films and videos, iconographies, critical commentaries to complete works, ethnographic recordings, conference proceedings, electronic resources, and reviews. Coverage 1967-present.

    • Library holdings in the print version are from 1967 to 1996.

  • International Index to Music Periodicals Full-Text
    • Indexing and abstracts for more than 420 international music periodicals, plus full text for 83 journals. IIMP also provides author/title-keyword access to 130 titles dating as far back as 1874. IIMP covers nearly all aspects of the world of music, from the most scholarly studies to the latest crazes.
  • Academic Search Premier Partial
    • Scholarly, multi-discipline, full-text database designed specifically for academic institutions. This resource indexes over 4300 periodicals and contains full-text for over 3400 scholarly publications. ASP provides full-text journal coverage for nearly all academic areas of study.
  • Project Muse Full-Text
    • Full-text from nearly 250 academic journals in the humanities and social sciences. Coverage varies by title.
  • Wilson OmniFile Full Text Partial
    • A multi-disciplinary database that provides indexing, abstracts, and full-text articles from over 1,600 scholarly and general periodicals in the humanities, social sciences, and sciences.
