December 3rd, 1818. Surveyed seven acres of ground for the Danville College. Beginning at letter A on the south side of Main Street when extended; and sixty feet Westward of the Meeting-House lot; thence S 88 and 3/4 W 55 poles to letter B; thence S 1 1/4 E 20 poles, 6 feet, 3 inches to letter C on the North side of back street when extended; thence with said street N 88 and 3/4 E 55 poles to letter D; thence N 1 1/4 W 20 poles, 6 feet, three inches to the beginning.
Also surveyed on the same day 2 acres, including the Danville Meeting-House. Beginning at the most Westwardly post in John Cochran's fence, near the south edge of the present road; thence S 1 1/4 E 18 poles, making an elm tree a fore and aft line tree; thence S 88 3/4 W 18 poles; thence North 1 1/4 W 18 poles; thence N 88 3/4 E 18 poles to the beginning.
