Financial Committee Minutes (1874-1875)

Jan. 16, 1874

Financial Committee borrowed from the First National Bank $1365, for which said committee executed its note, to pay the money that had been advanced by the 2nd Church to Dr. J. L. McKee whilst he was in the service of the Board of Trustees.

Also renewed their note for including interest $2625 borrowed under the direction of the Board to pay the salaries of Professors.

June 21, 1875

Fin. Committee met. Present, Welsh, Wiseman & Beatty.

Ordered that the Secretary of the Board of Trustees be requested to issue to Dr. J. L. McKee his warrant, for his salary as Financial Agent of the College, quarterly in advance, upon which he may check weekly.

Ordered that Dr. McKee be allowed $50 a year for [?] him in his work.
