"Fun, Fun, Fun" with the Beach Boys at Centre College
DANVILLE, KY -- When the chilly weather of October hits this year, some of us may be wishing ourselves to that little place called Kokomo, but if you're looking for some summer fun, look no further than Centre College's Norton Center for the Art. The Beach Boys are coming to Newlin Hall at 7 p,.m. and 9:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 15.
The performance is a 1999 special event of the Norton Center and a part of Centre's Homecoming festivities. Tickets are on sale now at the Norton Center box office. Hours are 9 a.m. - 4 p.m., or patrons may call 606-236-4692.
The American Band, the Beach Boys have entertained us for over three decades with their California-inspired hits. Originally formed in 1961 by the Wilson brothers (Brian, Carl, and Dennis), their cousin Mike Love, and friend Al Jardine the Beach Boys have topped the charts with such classic hits as "Surfin," "Help Me Rhonda," "Surfin USA," "California Girls" and "Kokomo."
The Norton Center for the Arts is a regional performing arts center that annually brings to Centre College a series of important musical groups, Broadway shows, individual performances, and other works from the performing arts.
