Norton Center Hosts Woodwind Quintet
DANVILLE, KY -- The Berlin Philharmonic Woodwind Quintet is coming to Centre College's Norton Center for the Arts on Sunday, Feb. 28. Their performance will begin at 3 p.m. in Weisiger Theatre.
Tickets go on sale Tuesday, Feb. 7, at the Norton Center box office. Hours are 9 a.m.-4 p.m. weekdays, or patrons may call 606-236-4692.
Founded in 1988, the Berlin Philharmonic Woodwind Quintet is the first permanent woodwind quintet ever established by the Berlin Philharmonic. Their success has lead not only to appearances in Germany, but also to tours throughout Europe, North and South America, Japan and the Far East, and Israel. They are regular guest artists at several festivals and have several recordings, all which have received critical accolades.
The Norton Center for the Arts is a regional performing arts center which annually brings to Centre College a series of important musical groups, Broadway shows, individual performances and other works from the performing arts.
