Centre Student Musicians Present Carmina Burana

DANVILLE, KY - The Centre College music department is presenting Carl Orff's "Carmina Burana," one of this century's most exciting choral works, at 8 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 20, in Newlin Hall at the Norton Center for the Arts.

The Centre College Choir, directed by Barbara Hall, will be joined by the Danville Children's Choir, directed by Bruce Richardson. Soloists are Rebecca Miller, soprano, who teaches voice at Centre College and Asbury College; Dan Weeks, tenor, a former Centre faculty member who now teaches at the University of Louisville; and Stephen King, baritone, chairman of the University of Kentucky voice faculty.

Tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for students, senior citizens and groups of 10 or more. Tickets are available from the Norton Center box office. Box office hours are 10 a.m-4 p.m., Monday-Friday. For more information call (606) 236-4692.
