DANVILLE, KY -- Chorovaya Akademia is coming to Centre College's Norton Center for the Arts on Tuesday, March 9. The show will begin at 8 p.m. in Weisiger Theatre.

Tickets go on sale Tuesday, Feb. 16, at the Norton Center box office. Hours are 9 a.m.-4 p.m. weekdays, or patrons may call 606-236-4692.

Founded in 1989 under the direction of Alexander Sedov, this male choir sings entirely a cappella. Chorovaya is famous for its repertoire, which includes both ecclesiastical and secular works. Their concerts bring together everything from ancient chants to the most complex polyphony and draws from the rich tradition of Russian orthodox music of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.

The Norton Center for the Arts is a regional performing arts center which annually brings to Centre College a series of important musical groups, Broadway shows, individual performances and other works from the performing arts.
