DANVILLE, KY-Louisville Male graduate Eric Heyman intercepted a Kenyon College pass and returned it 99 yards last Saturday to break the school record, which had stood for 46 years. Heyman, a sophomore defensive back, was an All-Conference player in 1998 in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference and a preseason pick for All-Conference this season.

The previous record was held by former Centre head coach Herb McGuire who returned an interception 87 yards for a touchdown in 1953. McGuire is currently the men's and women's golf coach at Centre and has been on the faculty for 36 years. Centre defeated Kenyon College 34-14 and will play Rhodes College this Saturday at home.
