Ashley Mason is president of Centre College Democrats
DANVILLE, KY - Ashley Mason, a Centre College senior from Thelma, Ky., is president of the Centre chapter of College Democrats of America. He previously served the chapter as vice president for community and media relations, and he was a delegate to the CDA National Convention in 1998 and 1999.
Due to his active involvement in the student Democrat organization, Mason has done advance work for Vice President Al Gore's campaign for the U.S. presidency.
Mason is a government major and was chosen to study at Centre's residential program in Latin America during the coming winter and spring terms. On campus he has been employed as student manager of the Combs Activities Center and programming coordinator for the Student Activities Council. He also has worked for the Lexington law firm of Dinsmore and Shohl.
Mason is a graduate of Paintsville High School. His parents are Raymond and Shirley Mason.
