Mildren, Gomez set football records; Mildren earns conference honors
DANVILLE, KY-Two Centre College football records during Homecoming weekend as Centre defeated Maryville College. Drew Mildren, the Colonels' sophomore quarterback, broke his own passing completions record as he threw 34 for 51, with no interceptions. The Oklahoma City native set the previous record last year in both the Maryville and DePauw games. He currently holds six other passing records at Centre. Mildren's performance against Maryville earned him designation as Offensive Player of the Week in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference.
Jeremy Gomez, a sophomore slotback from Greenwood High School in Bowling Green, Ky., broke an eight year-old record with 12 receptions in the win over Maryville.
The Colonels take on Trinity in Texas next weekend as they look for their third conference win of the season.
